Tried out the Painter X demo - it was so much fun! But I am still working with an old, very old Wacom tablet and Vista is not supported anymore. So I lost the pressure sensivity of the Wacom tablet....

Should buy a new Wacom tablet first and then try Painter again (got an old 5.5 version that came free with a magazine, a lifetime ago).

Have you done some more work in Painter? Love to see it!

Check amazon.com they got some nice wacom for nice prices. I think that Painter X supports any old wacom tablet, don't know about Vista, I still on windows XP, I hate Vista!!! My wife has Vista and is constantly crashing and freezing, yucks!!!

Looks great so far. Was it done with photo-reference?

The new tablet I just got (Intuos3) has a copy of Painter Essentials with it. Not tried it myself but I think it is based on the same brush engine and is probably better than 5.5 anyway.

I am in Holland - so it is 'cheaper' to buy here - still saving up on it (thinking about the A4 size, like I have now).

There are no new drivers for this old tablet of mine - it is about 13 years old or so. Stll works fine, but as I mentioned, the pressure sensitivity is not supported by the driver or Vista.

Vista is a pain, have some troubles with it too - but it sure does look good!
