my statement was probably too general. turning off interpolation, sometimes works, depending on the HDR you are using... Just because it is an HDR file does not mean that is has a dynamic range.
for some reason, in Carrara, bumping up the precision doesn't really help... Although it will in some circumstances, but most times, i get a smother render, with it turned off altogether.
