I got it this morning.
you have to go to your account and under Itemized Order History click on "reset" beside the download for your original purchase, or upgrade for Carrara.
in my case it was "Carrara 6 Pro - Upgrade from Carrara 5 Pro" when the download was reset, it was in my available downloads as "Carrara 6.1 Pro - Upgrade from Carrara 5 Pro"
