Down the track I may have every character completely built and rigged.

I think it would be wrong to do that from the beginning of a comic because the 'evolution' of characters is very important.

Characters change in subtle ways as the artist refines the technique and personality of each one, often over many years.

That is why they are simple shapes at the moment, without ears, hair, eyes, mouths, hands and feet. They're not even rigged, I just rotate the various elements individually until I have the pose I want.

Some backgrounds are Carrara, some are just photographs.
