The modeling is nicely thought, but i don't care so much for the rendering because of the reflective shader used on the ground plane. When i use a simple ground plane for my CAD models, i will normally apply blurry reflections. It helps to place more emphasis on the model when you don't have reflections of model and sky cluttering the image. i am not using Carrara, but i remember it has this feature too...
