Well, to satisfy your curiosity:
I have Amapi 7.52, Turbocad, DesignCad3DMax15, Bryce 6, Carrara5 & 6 pro, Poser 5 & 7, Hexagon2.2, modo 103 & 301, TS 5,6 & 7 but still the easiest modeller for me is TS. I am very experienced with CAD, having been a freelance CAD designer since 1992.
However, having used FastCad, I don't like Turbocad & especially don't like Autocad.
I use whatever software I feel comfortable with to get the job done. I produced that water pump illustration within 2 days with very little experience of TS. It was rendered with Carrara because I am not that familiar with TS rendering (too many options - I have the option of 3 engines & not that many shaders)
