It would have been better if you wouldn't have registered it.
The way I understand the licensing is that it is registered to a single computer and a single individual. There are methods for multiple licensing, but as you know that costs more.
More than likely no one will object to giving the Hex2 CD to your brother as it will still be licensed to one individual and one computer.
A lot of software is purchased as gifts, so transfer is never a problem.
However, you can't legally use the extra copy on your computer as that would violate the terms of the license.
