One thing I have noticed is the evolution of speech in the Wabbit genus. For instance from Peter Rabbit (not a great talker) through Brer Rabbit to Bugs Bunny ( world class con man). I think this may have had some influence on the crazy wabbit line too, not sure though, I might have to consult my cat.
