Just like Piem, the future in 3D will probably be Holographic 3D sculpting
You will have very special plastic tools containing 3D sensors that will enable artists to carve or chisel blocs of holographic virtual stone or mud or water or whatever ... but that will be about 40 years in the future
maybe you will even be able to put gloves on and model in 3D with your very own fingers without dirtying them
