Just a message to say hello to everyone here. I am a novice, just started to learn Hexagon a few days ago, I have Carrara 6 pro on the back burner (I hope to read a few tutorials to make some sense of the screens) and have been working with Poser for 2 1/2 years. I am here to learn how to make my own creatures because none of the ones out there seem right for my visions.
Just 3 years ago I did not even own a computer. I purchased a system to edit pictures, got on the internet and discovered 3D animation and Poser. Now I work on a XPS 410, dual core E6400, 4GB dual channel DDR2, 256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 with a 24 inch monitor.
I bought Hexagon on just a whim last year and set it aside. As my Poser interest expanded I had a few custom cartoon figures made, and was not 100% satisfied with the finished creatures. So I pulled out Hexagon and started to read the manual, and view the tutorial inside. I got Carrara 6 Pro as I think it will expand my capabilities in the future, however, I think Hex has a better screen for the creation process. My first creation has a very poor rig, but allowed me to learn how to morph a Poser figure. Now, I need to get a handle on the UV stuff, textures etc. One day I hope to be as good as the people here.
