New forum organization

Hi,

As I mentioned in some threads, we will be changing the organization of the forum a little bit this week end.

Because Polyloop is no longer focused on Hexagon, Amapi & Carrara, but other software as well, we will close the dedicated sections and open more generic sections (Modeling, rendering, etc).

On another side, we decided to become more strict on the 3D & 2D itself, in our comments and also stop everything about premade content except, as before, if it's not the main subject of the creation. We want to go back to the origin of Polyloop (which was Amapi.net and Eovia3D.net), a forum dedicated to creation, from beginners who really want to learn and progress to advanced users. As you can imagine even advanced users want to learn new stuff, so if you are not comfortable with hard, accurate comments about your creation, Polyloop isn't for you.

Going back to the forum organisation, this is the list of the new sections for each language:
  1. News (Subforums: polyloop, to do list)
  2. WIP
  3. Finished work will be moved to the gallery
  4. Sandbox
  5. Modeling (poly, sculpting)
  6. Design modeling (Hard modeling, NURBS, CAD stuff)
  7. Materials & UVs
  8. Rendering, FX and post production
  9. 2D techniques (Subforum: Photography (for french part initially, possibly for english if some are interested)
  10. Tutorials (Subforums: carrara, amapi, hexagon, others)
  11. Hardware
  12. Misc (Sub: say hello). This section is MISC about -3D & 2D- this part is ok for video and eventually job requests and offers.
Notes:
-To do list new subforum is the request of stuff to do for polyloop. Such as requests for software reviews, articles on something, well, stuff to do to make Polyloop more active
-Finished work is no longer a part of the WIP forum. The gallery is here for the finished work as you can imagine
-In the french part, we have a Photo section, if you are interested in that, I can open it.
-Misc: we decided to stop allowing users speaking about their grand mothers cat here. We want to keep this misc section about all the graphic universe and on topic.
-We will still have the international sections, but some of the links will be moved to the Menus

New stuff or improved
-The hall of fame will now be handled in a different manner to be more active
-PolyStream : I have developed a solution to do live demonstrations of software, tutorials, training, short modeling/rendering or other demonstrations. All the moderators will have access to that, and in fact, if someone owns Camtasia (only PC, sorry) they can do a demonstration.
-A new skin. You can already view a preview by changing the Polyloop template to the Amapi.net (drop down on the down left of the forum, near the language)

We hope that you will enjoy the revamping of Polyloop
