Some stuff you made with Modo 103/203 to show Ringo? We know your work with Carrara but not really with Modo (same for others!

I gave up for one main reason : upgrades costs, and currently, I don't have the time to focus on animation, which is my main interest about XSI. But i don't mean that I stop about this package. It's a very good one and the Fundation is a good deal and the Advanced one really rocks! (but damn, not the same price...)
On another side, for daily stuff, Modo is faster than XSI and more easy to use.
Review is in the pipe, but now, almost done!

I tried this software out in the hellfire widow contest sometime back, it had excellent UV tools, but didnt really have time to get comfortable with the modelling with what seemed like lots of options getting in the way of a simple workflow. But I was seriously impressed with the painting options and possibly rendering for stills, although the shading system was not that easy to understand. |
As Grendel answered, you can do the same kind of technicks in Modo, more by mixing the pen tool with the edge extrude and you have somethg good. On my side, the workflow isn't as fast as it can be (already discussed with one of the modo developer).
You will find some tips in my review about that
