I sympathize and I am with you all the way and there is only one answer: economics.

I decided this time around I am not going for price, or even all the features in the world. I only want good stuff that will be around for awhile under a single focused development team. A solid company that has solid direction and a large user base. And of course a very good application.

I am just very tired of watching my meager (yet important) software investments hit dead ends to the left and to the right of me. Over the past year all of my main software has changed development hands. Even some of the alternatives to replace my original workflow applications have ceased to be developed. Dead ends have burnt me out a bit.

I am hoping to relax with one software for awhile and modo just seems to be the most logical place for me.
