Made it bright and early to the San Diego Convention Center this morning for the first day of the exhibition portion of Siggraph 2007 and wasted no time getting over to the Daz booth to see Carrara 6 in action. So here's a quick list of the major new features (taken directly from the sales flyer which I have posted .JPGs of on my web site - see below for the links):

Dynamic Hair
Displacement Modeling
Non-linear Animation
Full DAZ|Studio Content Support
Symmectrical Modeling
Rigid Body Simulation

I asked the Daz guys what was the target release date and was told that we could see it in 'about a month'.

I was also able to get some video shots of C6 Pro being demo'd - they're not of the best quality (not to mention all of the ambient crowd noise), but at least you'll get to see some of the new features in action. Please let me know if you have trouble viewing these.

I'll back at the convention again tomorrow - there's a lot to see at this year's Siggraph but I hope to make it back to the Daz booth for a second look at C6.
