I don't understand the big difference between CTRL clicking and then SCALING for Modo? And Hexagon's CLICKING and DRAGGING. Modo is less clicks. (granted a few keys as well, but hardly noticeable in workflow.)
Modo:
1. CTRL-click the Sphere icon.
2. R-key and scale. (one click to grab scale handle)
So two clicks. And two keys.
Hexagon:
1. Click Sphere icon
2. Click twice to set the scale.
So three clicks.
Or course you can click and drag the Sphere into the view in Hexagon. And then click again to scale. That would be two clicks and no keys. But this minor (and I mean minor) workflow difference is absurd to judge the efficiency of the software. In Modo you can script functionality, macro record tasks and replay them, redesign the interface according to your workflow. Your issue is just odd.
