Agreed.
Must also consider C4D's frequent (and not particularly cheap) half-point upgrades, as well as the cost of additional modules (which typically also must be upgraded).
Cinema 4D really is a very fine program, but Maxon's pricing (for all the reasons above) makes it hard to choose over some other very decent programs (at or below their pricing).
