Carrara can offer very good renders and unlike Vue it can also do figure animation. There was an article about Carrara 5 that stated the surface replicator of Carrara was better than Vue's. Vue is OK but you can only do landscapes unless you also have Poser.

I don't think Vue has a modeler.
