So I have tried the sculpting in the latest build of the CVS. And I must say sculpting is indeed faster than Hexagon. Level 6 is smooth and even navigation is smooth. In Hexagon a level 6 sphere would bog down. Blender sculpt seems to function a lot like Silo's implementation.
Some of the features:
- Smooth: smooths out the surface
- Grab: grab and area to move or shift
- Add: displace or pull the geometry
- Sub: push in the geometry
- Pinch: pinch geometry together
- Use a texture to displace.
- Brush strength is adjustable as is the brush size.
There are a few more interesting features, but those are the ones that I used.
