I would have agreed with you on the subject of Modo but now I finally see what the fuss is about. There is no workflow. You create your own. Its difficult to explain really but for folks not convinced download the demo and give it a try. All the videos are there to learn from.

I must say I had to invest an evening to go through the basics videos to get a handle on why there are 8 action center settings. An action center is basically where the manipulator is within the model and what it is aligned with.

Creating scripts in lua,perl or python if thats what you like or just create macros for whatever you want. Its all there.

There are tools within Modo that, now I have played with them, I could not live without them. I am still discovering new ones and new ways to use them as well.

Painting and rendering are another subject that I could go on about for ages but I will stop boring you. :D Hopefully some rigging and hair shader will come along and it will be complete for me.
